I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Apr 2011
Interview
I was referred to an internal and newly created position by a colleague. Stage 1 consisted of a discussion with the recruiter. Stage 2 was an all-day intense behavioral (and video conference) interview stage with 6-7 managers. Stage 3 was case study day with some additional behavioral interview. Overall, I have a very favorable view of the interview process - competitive, professional and very well choreographed.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Describe the traits you look for in hiring your new team
Interview process is lengthy with each stage escalating to the next level in the company. It takes weeks (and even months) to get through. So this is a very slow burning fuse. If you have the time and patience, seems worth the process. If you're well qualified and well prepared for interviews, they are less stressful and tend to be more conversational. If you don't come prepared, then you get whatever happens next.
