      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Google (London, England) in Oct 2011

      Interview

Took 3-4 weeks from application to be notified about a telephone interview. Another 3 weeks for face to face at their london office. Had 6 interviews in one day, most of the interviewers were nice and the questions were more or less standard. Had one interviewer who was asking questions like 'what car do you drive' etc which wasn't really helpful and nothing to do with the actual job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

All more or less standard interview questions, mostly following the CV
      Answer question
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Google (Los Angeles, CA)

      Interview

Interview was more conversational, role related questions were asked if the interviewer chose. Recruiters were very pushy, but not always responsive until an offer was approved. Interview is 4-5 rounds and ends with a hiring manager to assess personality fit.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

How would you convince a local jurisdiction that it’s a good idea for Google to build there.
      Answer question

      Question 2

In your opinion, would would be key stakeholders you need to collaborate with for a project.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Google (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2017

      Interview

Five successive 45-60 minute interviews back to back, plus a 1-on-1 lunch. 3 interviews held by videoconference. Interviewers were peers, plus one manager. They were all very friendly and polite. Quite an intense day.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

If you had to build a data center in Korea, how would you decide where to locate it? Tell me about a time you had to make an unpopular decision? You have to lay a water pipeline across some empty land next doors to a data center, how much would you offer the owner?
