This was for the phone screening and it was pretty straight forward. I thought I did well in the screening, but didn't make it past the initial screening. It also took the recruiter a while before she even got back to me on whether I'd be moving onto the next phase or not. But the screening was very scripted and the recruiter didn't seem to know a lot about the role itself besides what was scripted.

I applied through an employee referral. About a week or so after applying, I was emailed a test to complete. Within a day of completing the test, I received an automated email saying I passed. A week or two later, a recruiter reached out to set a call. We spoke and he passed me onto the next round while we were on the call. A Google assistant then reached out later that day to schedule my next round for the following week. They sent helpful prep resources. I met with the hiring manager, and learned 2-3 days after meeting with her that I didn't get the job, but it was overall a fair and transparent process.

Lengthy process covering different topics across role related knowledge, general cognitive ability, culture fit, case studies with different people from different teams. The process usually takes 3 - 6 months.
