3 step process. first was a screening then followed with around 7 case studies. the case studies ranged in varying industries and scope. this was done over a course of 2 months

Interview
I was screened by a recruiter (resume talk, personal experiences, professional experiences, why McKinsey, etc.), then had two case coaching sessions with McKinsey recruiters (went thru sample/warm up cases using the McKinsey typical questions), then had an assessment interview over the phone with an experienced consultant. Very thorough process.
Too long, too many rounds, too many people interviewing you and you need to follow up several times in order to get a response. They give you the materials to prepare which is good, but everything else is suboptimal
Das erste Interview war mit der HR. Klassische Fragen - Führ mich durch deinen Lebenslauf, warum Consulting, was motiviert dich etc. Das zweite Interview ging 3 Stunden. Nach einem kurzen Kennenlerenen, kamen zwei Case-Studys dran - eins auf Deutsch und eins auf Englisch.
