I have been working in the company for a long time. My interview with this company was back to mid-90's when SAP was still a little known company in the U.S. I was referred by a friend who was working there. Their recruiter called me and flew me into bay area for the interview. I was interviewed by the hiring manager and the general manager of the development organization. The interview process was very simple at that time. Just explaining what I did before and then asked me to explained some coding. Then, 2 weeks later, I got the call from the recruiter and I was hired. I think now, the HR department has installed a more complex and long interview process for candidates. I have heard some teams were asking the candidate to do some "homework" before the interview and then brought to the interview. For me, back then, it was much easier.

It was long, but the process was also transparent. The recruiter was also nice, but there were basic questions, so don’t get too technical. I recommend studying basic technical concepts, but I didn’t make it past this round.
