I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Unilever (Trumbull, CT) in Feb 2025
Interview
My first interaction came from an HR person in an email asking if I would accept a certain salary as a minimum. After confirming the salary was within my range, I then had a 15-20 minute phone call with the HR rep. During this call, she asked why I wanted the job, confirmed my work history, and asked if I was willing/able to work on-site for a minimum of 3 days a week. After this, I had a 30-minute teams meeting with the hiring manager about 2 days after the initial call with HR. The hiring manager asked basic interview questions (e.g., why do you want to work here?, what is your strongest skill? describe a scenario when you had to solve a problem, etc.). After this meeting, on the same day, a meeting was scheduled with the hiring manager's manager, which was completed 3 days after the interview with the hiring manager. This call included more information about the current research programs, and delved a little more into my scientific background and expertise. After this call, I heard back 1 week later with the offer. The entire process from application to offer lasted 3.5 weeks.
