Interview
You're given a CodeSignal test to finish in 1hr 15 minutes. Your screen is monitored and you are timed. You must also have your mic and camera on so that they may watch your face and listen in. If you're not great at coding while someone is watching and timing you, this will be difficult. The only way to get good at this is to study specifically for this testing style so that you may hopefully recognize a problem type if it appears on your screen. There are 4 questions. Two "easy," one "medium," and one "difficult," Look around online on how to approach these the right way.
I'm not entirely sure, but this stage feels more like it's weeding people out based on a quick test before your CV is even looked at. Unfortunately, that means while your specific career experience may be excellently tailored to Visa's needs, your best bet to move beyond the very first stage is to instead study for LeetCode-style questions. Your recruiter might offer you a retake.

I applied online. I interviewed at Visa Inc. in May 2026
Interview
The interview process started with an online coding assessment on HackerRank after the resume was shortlisted. The test mainly included data structures and algorithms questions focused on Graphs, Trees, and HashMap, with an emphasis on problem-solving, time complexity, and writing optimized solutions under time constraints.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They mainly focused on data structures and problem-solving. The key questions were related to Graphs, Trees, and HashMap-based coding problems. They also tested how efficiently I could approach and optimize solutions under time constraints.

Interview
About two weeks after submitting my application, I received an invitation to take a HackerRank test, which appeared to be sent automatically. I only had three days to complete the task - it was the first time I encountered such a short deadline; in other places I was given at least a week.
Moreover, the task was proctored, requiring a camera, microphone, and screen sharing. Because I was traveling at the time, despite my attempts I was unable to set up an environment that would not trigger the automated monitoring, and I was not able to complete the task.
Code Signal General Coding Assessment for pre screen after receiving CV.
Essentially, the coding assignment required solving two leetcode easy questions and two leetcode medium/hard in seventy minutes.
Just pretty standard stuff.
