I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at dunnhumby (London, England) in Mar 2021
Interview
Interviewed with a senior research scientist. Topics covered basic machine learning, Word2Vec, collaborative filtering and applying these models to real world scenarios. The interview went really well such that the interviewer told me I had passed in the interview and could expect to receive a maths test within the next week. However, I heard nothing back. I reached out to the recruiter 3 times and was ignored every time. Since this incident I have applied for the Applied Data Scientist position and been invited to arrange a first round interview. After replying to the email again I heard nothing back. The recruiter at dunhumby is incredibly unprofessional. I have spent a lot of time preparing for the interviews. Why interview if I pass and still don’t get through or at the very least get feedback on why they may have changed their mind?

Interview
It was the first stage, I spoke with a person from HR. She was polite but the interview lasted 5 minutes because I was immediately rejected for having a graduate Visa. I have a Visa for the next 3 years and then I will become settled. I do not think that you can claim to be an inclusive company when you reject non-British people. Such a pity because I was excited for the opportunity and it seems like an interesting company!
