Pros

Strong brand reputation, good compensation and benefits, exposure to large-scale financial data and well-established ML governance practices, generally reasonable work-life balance, and opportunities to collaborate with talented colleagues across different teams.

Cons

Heavy bureaucracy slows down decision making, multiple approval layers make experimentation difficult, innovation is limited by strict governance processes, organizational silos reduce visibility into real business impact, and career growth can depend heavily on team and manager rather than a clear company-wide path.

Pros

Chill job You can get away with not doing a lot of work (depending on team of course). WFH flexibility Good 401k/general benefits Light hours The bar to stand out is very low amongst my team members

Cons

This job I have is the most boring job I've ever had. I do not feel challenged. There's way too many cooks in the kitchen. I've been at Amex 3 years and I've had in total 5 or 6 different direct managers. Leadership is a MESS and their direct reports do not know what's going on which impacts everyone below them. There are quiet layoffs and is not acknowledged by the leadership team(s). These quiet layoffs are claimed to be "restructuring" Not everyone works and the chaos lets you get away with it. It's a stupid place to be honest, if you want to chill or focus on your family or whatever personal stuff you have going on I would recommend it.

Pros

Big office , salary on time. That's it nothing else.

Cons

Pathetic work environment , bad managers , bad work life balance , lot of stress in sales , shouting on floor , no hr involvement , long working hours , no feeling of mnc. Lot of work pressure , hire and fire culture. Most pathetic and worst job ever I can think about. Don't spoil your career in this american company. Very tough job , very high targets , just the worst company on planet as per me for sales.
