Pros

Competitive Pay, Okay benefits. That's about it.

Cons

The company leadership is weak, they don't know what they are doing. It is complete chaos all the time. It's a very unstable environment with constant change.

Pros

The compensation is aligned with industry standards for the role/s, and the 'unlimited' PTO policy is a valuable benefit when/if when you can utilized it. Additionally, the provision of lunch from a local restaurant or food truck every Thursday at the Asheville office is a delightful perk.

Cons

The work environment is often toxic, with a noticeable absence of effective leadership and structured processes. Employees frequently operate independently without cohesive overall direction. There is a significant lack of stability regarding both work locations and job security, exacerbated by frequent organizational restructuring.

Pros

Generous pay and benefits. Work with smart and talented people.

Cons

If contracts are not awarded, you may not receive a bonus and could possibly lose your job. Smart financial decisions are not always made and could possibly cause the demise of the company.

Pros

The benefits and pay were what was to be expected Paternity leave was great

Cons

From the moment I was hired the company was in a constant state of change. Two weeks after I was hired they laid off around 100 employees. Every Monday they have a company-wide call and the following Monday they muted the entire audience and disabled chat to announce their "shareholder" program and didn't mention the layoffs. The shareholder program isn't really a benefit. You get shares every year you are there, but they don't mean anything because you only get money from them if the company is sold, which they specifically stated they had no plans to do. Essentially giving monopoly money as a "benefit" The travel is not well defined in the interview process. I was told it would be a WFH position with occasional travel to project sites and then was expected to drive 4 hours round trip every day to visit project sites and then work from 8-5. Incredibly disorganized structure as well. From day 1 I had superiors sitting in on several phone calls at once and was expected to do the same. Felt very much like a death by meetings with no time to get actual work done.
