Pros

Good pay at SM level

Cons

1. Bonus: Bonus cut short and way below what was communicated during the recruiting process. 2. Promotions: put on hold and moved to next year - of course this was communicated just after the talent discussions 2. Onboarding: None for experienced hires. They just expect you to know everything as per your level. 3. Culture: super toxic, cutthroat culture. No support by your peers as a new joiner (on top of the non existang Onboarding for SMs). People keeping opportunities for themselves. Plenty of politics & talking behind people's backs. No culture of honesty, trust, appreciation. I actually got lied to during the recruiting process about the situation in my field. You really feel like a resource and get frequent emails/reminders to fulfill your chargeability targets from day 1 after the Onboarding. 4. Too much focus on KPIs: You are being pressured to take on bad projects for the sake of chargeability. The chargeability and sales pressure fosters a super toxic culture where people don't collaborate. Also, no proper work equipment (seriously, no headphones or protective case for your mobile? No computer monitors despite of constant work from home? No basics such as thinkcell without a project? No travel unless there is a project? How am I supposed to do my job without the basics?) Also, it feels humiliating having to constantly interview for projects and ask for WBS codes. 5. Management: only focused on Sales and Profitability. If you raise issues there is no support - they make you feel that your feedback is not welcome. Plenty of micromanagement. The most common leadership style appears to be leading by pressure and fear. 6. Workforce: Not top notch but rather the people that did not land an industry job. Everyone seems stressed, overworked and frustrated. No wonder with the constant pressure and no budget to do an in person team workshop. 7. Organization: Lack of structure, unclear responsibilities. Too many dimensions in the matrix and hence too many interfaces to report to. Unclear decision processes.

Pros

There are a lot of pros working for Accenutre. They have great career opportunities, a never ending supply of interesting work, competitive compensation, wonderful benefits, great people, wonderful training programs, a tremendous number of brilliant professionals in their fields ready to help, and great core values.

Cons

This is not an opportunity for those that do not want to work. At Accenture everyone has a load of work to do and often times under very tight customer time lines. It is a challenge that I enjoy but many might find it stressful.
