Toxic environment with unrealistic expectations and stress - Applecare At Home Advisor Chat Support Apple Employee Review

Pros

There is none. Not anymore.

Cons

Multiple chats, extremely strict metrics, they want you to solve mostly all angry customers issues in less than 12-15 minutes, and your AHT is the most important metric now. Apple has lost its motive for amazing customer support, and wants you to be as quick and efficient as their new AI support bot. It will eventually replace Apple-employed based chat advisors, and stick with the cheap vendor employees. No work life balance, micro-management, threatening tenured employees. It used to be a great place to work, not anymore. They’re weeding what’s left of Apple based chat advisors and putting them on action plans which causes such extreme stress and mental fatigue so that you just end up quitting. I’ve lost 6 tenured coworker friends in the past 12 months because they up and quit due to action plans for not meeting staff type average handle time. This position is obsolete. They want us out.

Pros

We work with geniuses - in every department, We create innovative products that thrill our customers and create new product categories - who else can say that?

Cons

ZERO ZERO ZERO work/life balance. Execs have been saying for YEARS that they understand and will make it better. But in actuality, it gets worse every year! It is obviously top management LIP SERVICE because if they meant it, they could fix it tomorrow. They have hundreds of BILLIONS in the bank. If they REALLY cared about employee work/life balance, they could bring aboard the right number of folks to make that issue dissolve. Sick of hearing the lies. Just don't lie about wanting to fix it, when they clearly DON'T care
