Pros

Autodesk fully supports remote working and facilitates a lot when it comes to doing your job. Work life balance is excellent. Your workload is very low and this is probably one of the biggest reasons most people work with Autodesk.

Cons

- Salaries are very low compared to the market, especially in tech. Any similar role with a startup will give you a 30-50% pay jump. - Key management positions are being filled by people with long tenures in Autodesk. This causes the company to be stuck in classic ways of thinking and doing things differently does not come up with most of the managers - Meetings often are filled with too many people and get ineffective - Last but not least HR: They are not here for the employees and have shown several times they want to disadvantage you. Whether it's pay, holidays or new rules and regulations. An example is trying to lower your salary and actively pursuing people to leave the company by putting the under pressure with different disciplinary measures. My exit has been announced without any warnings, and HR with my manager just appeared in a call announcing I should leave. Additionally HR is based in Barcelona not being aware of the local rules and regulations of different countries. One of the simple examples is that we can still not book or holidays according to Dutch law and every year on Jan 1st the system just reduces the built up holidays to 8 days. This always causes struggles and shadow book keeping to administer holidays. Of these we have many examples here in the Netherlands.

Pros

Autodesk has, hands down, one of the warmest and most supportive corporate cultures I’ve ever experienced. From day one, people were welcoming, respectful, kind, and genuinely available to help. Even as a contract worker, I never felt like an outsider. I felt included, trusted, and treated like part of the team. The marketing team was an incredible group: collaborative, smart, generous with their time, and always willing to answer questions. Autodesk also has a true teaching culture. You never feel silly for asking questions, and there is a clear willingness across teams to help people learn, improve, and succeed. Operationally, the company was also impressively efficient. The technology, meeting tools, scheduling systems, and general workflows made it easy to connect with people, set appointments, collaborate, and keep work moving without unnecessary friction. Overall, Autodesk set the bar for what a healthy corporate culture can feel like: organized, human, respectful, inclusive, and genuinely collaborative. Pros: Warm culture, helpful people, strong tools and technology, respectful teams, inclusive environment, great marketing organization.

Cons

As a contractor, I only wish the experience had been longer.
