Stable well paid job, subordinates never challenges whats being said and done
Cons
Politics is everything, performance or technical knowledge has no value at all in managements eyes. Long timers hide information from newbies or even make fun of them just to slow down their work. Middle managers are not experienced enough to know what is important so they are easily fooled by people with the loudest voice. Talanted people usually leave the company rather quick.
