Pros

The with and depth of experience is what keeps me here. There are a range of functional areas that the company works with ranging from Audit to Tax to Advisory. The advisory practice helps various companies across various function from Finance to cost to marketing strategies to operational excellence to HR. Working for these various functions helps expance the learning and experience in the early stages of the carrier. It is this bredth of experience that i guess is valued in the by recruiters.

Cons

the salary is significantly lower than competition or peer group. They are almost like a small company when it comes to perks. They do cost cutting at all stages. If it were upto them , they would mke you travel by busses and stay on pavements

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
