Pros

I have worked for a few companies in the past, but SAP is nothing like any other corporate I have seen. It is huge, yet they are incredibly employee centric: from management support to career development and opportunities provided for everyone to local & global initiatives available. It just depends on your personal appetite of how much you want to get involved, but it's amazing to have almost full control of your future which is so rare in corporate world. The company is changing fast and trying to accommodate different generations that come with different visions of how a technology company should look like in the future. It's still work in progress, but so far I have only seen positive change. I am proud to be part of SAP and really hope that younger generation will also be able to see the potential of this company in the future.

Cons

Sometimes it feels a bit lonely as working in a matrix environment means your work colleagues are all over the world. There's a family feel in some offices, but some are very large and you have to embrace being on your own and constantly working with different people.

Pros

The people at SAP are genuinely nice, and the culture is generally supportive. The work-life balance is good to an extent, but when you're busy, you're BUSY. SAP is highly complex so expect to take a year to ramp up.

Cons

Only way to get a high salary is if you're hired externally. They do not reward employees who are loyal to the company. Closed opportunities often have to go through the Compensation Exception Committee, creating uncertainty around earnings. Prepare for constant change, whether that's solutions being removed from your sales bag, account shifts, territory realignments, or changing compensation policies. Quotas can be difficult to attain
