Pros

Relatively stable employer. There haven't been many layoffs through its history and even in the case of layoff, people are usually well compensated (e.g. 6 monthly salaries). If you have the chance to work with customers, there could be some interesting projects due to the big size of the company and the diverse customer base. Work life balance if reasonable (e.g. 30 days paid vacation, home office, gym at the office). People in the office are generally nice as well.

Cons

Salary growth plans can be conservative and often favor newcomers and job hoppers. Some projects can be really boring and a bad move for one's career in the long run. Implementation of SCRUM was not and still isn't good. It feels too much like Ford's assembly line and not so much like a creative process. Canteen in Sofia is average, but for people not generally concerned about healthy diet, it seems acceptable.

Pros

I really liked my role at SAP. After being a cloud Customer Success Manager supporting strategic clients for several years, I moved into a group doing digital customer outreach including producing newsletters, release enablement, webcasts, documentation, event registrations, etc. Salary and bonuses were good, no complaints there.

Cons

No real cons for the job that I was in, except that our group was eliminated by the corporate restructuring and reduction in workforce in North America in 2025. I would have loved to stay but unfortunately we probably showed up on a restructuring spreadsheet somewhere and it was determined that our services were no longer needed. We off-boarded most of our work to other existing employees (who already had full time jobs), which felt unfair to them, but that is how it shook out.
