Pros

I am hard-pressed to find any great reason to work for this company other than compensation and benefits, and at times even that doesn't feel like enough on its own. I will, however, say that the long-term hourly employees were among some of the most hardworking individuals I've ever met in my life and I am forever grateful for the way that they poured into me during my time working alongside them.

Cons

My time working at this company has left me scarred and as I hear others share their experiences, I'm more confident in saying my experience was not unique. From day one, I was made to feel expendable and like another name on the payroll. As time went on, I began to notice how the grueling work began to affect me physically (to this day I experience chronic pain), my sleeping patterns were significantly affected, and my mental health took a nosedive. Not to mention, the management made matters worse by adding undue pressure on us to perform and work under duress in extreme conditions.

Pros

-benefits -coworkers -being around planes - 5 hour shifts -good pay -employee discounts -discounted flights/jumpseat

Cons

-long training on pc -management can be a bit mean -early morning hours -if any delay due to weather or something wrong with plane you stay later -union workers get away with anything -management pays attention more to non union then union -favoritism -dont seem to favorable to disabled or spectrum people -lack of understanding to any personal or medical issues -as management your always having to be there if you miss more then 3 days or get sick or injured you are fired -nonunion gets punished over unionized workers

Pros

The pay is excellent .health care is 100 % paid with 100 %coverage...with exception to eye and dental which is about 70%..coverage...pension is outstanding..full package with wages and benefits is worth 130,000 yearly..without a college education I am grateful for the standard of living UPS HAS AFFORDED ME AND MY FAMILY!...and with 27 years of service I now get 6 weeks vacation with 8 sick days..and 9 paid holidays...we work hard like many people in the work force but we are well compensated!.

Cons

The only con is while your children are young you give up a lot of family time..I never got to watch my kids play sports and missed a lot of their growing years...the job can be hard on your home life but if you can make it through those years you and your family will enjoy the financial freedom that UPS provides...and now I look forward to a prosperous retirement!...so hang in there all you young drivers...
