Pros

Below reasons why individuals should opt for Unilever 1) HR is very friendly, helpful, they go beyond their limits to help people when in a fix from talent advisors, HR BP to their leads 2) Salary compensation is excellent - One reason why I chose apart from the brand that Unilever is 3) Across ETSC (including partners, vendors and suppliers) people are good 4) Induction is overwhelming and they make you feel special 5) Even the HR service partners are really very helpful, they go the extra mile to help you in terms of the travel and accommodation

Cons

1) Be very careful what domain you chose here, know you manager 2) Most 2a do not have insights on their work, this I found very strange, My functional lead was so insecured she would only ask me about my salary and constantly nag about moving back to my hometown (Indore) 3) Lot of Internal politics,,, especially when you get into a profile where majority of the crowd is female population, you wont have a voice, you have to work without a spine and tongue. If you speak they will harass you to an extent you decide to quit on your own. 4) People who are relocating need to be very careful as some of the functional leads would go to an extend of harassing resources to leave the organisation due to their personal insecurity. 5) WFH policy and Unilever policies are Agile but only theoritically, when in reality there seems to be a miss match in terms of flexibility and way of working. This was very strange actually considering they boast a lot in terms of their Agile way of working. 6) If you only believe in working, this is not a place for you... As hardworking people dnt seem to be pleasing they will quitely work.... which for some domains here claims to be "Working in Silos" .. 7) Know your Manager (Functional leads and Line Manager) very carefully if they are based in ETSC. Before you even decide to take up the offer know the hierarchy very clearly. Ask questions about your work completely well before you accept the offer. Know the people whom you are going to work with.

Pros

Working at Unilever in Raeford offers strong overall benefits, including good pay for the area, solid health insurance, retirement options, and additional perks like tuition assistance and employee discounts. The company provides a stable work environment as a large global organization, with opportunities for career growth and skill development in a modern, well-maintained facility. Employees often highlight the team-oriented culture, supportive coworkers, and clean, safety-focused workplace. Overall, it’s considered a reliable employer with good work-life balance and long-term career potential.

Cons

Working there can involve long hours and rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, which can make work-life balance harder depending on your role. The job can also be physically demanding, especially in production or warehouse positions, requiring standing for long periods and repetitive tasks. Because it’s a large corporation, there can be strict policies, less flexibility, and slower decision-making. Additionally, while growth opportunities exist, advancement can sometimes feel competitive or slow without the right connections or timing.
