Pros

Free parking and lots of restaurants close by. The owner Mike is a very nice guy. Nichole and Patrick are good bosses to work for and encourage open dialogue.

Cons

The COO is the worst leader I’ve ever worked for. She’s an ego maniac who micromanages every part of the business. She wants employees to “act like an owner” yet treats everyone like they are an intern. You have to CC your manager on every email you send- it’s that bad. The processes are piecemealed together with no forethought for how certain parts of the business effect others. You are encouraged to ask questions and give feedback but at the end of the day, if it’s not Teresa’s idea, it’s not going to be implemented. She will push back on any idea offered so it’s quickly understood there’s no point to suggest changes. Not to mention she sends emails out telling employees to wipe their desks down with Lysol wipes and to praise herself on how she handled client interactions. The pay is decent but honestly all the extra BS isn’t worth it. When I turned in my 2 week notice (which was requested per their policy) I was immediately dismissed without pay. If I was a problem employee I could have understood doing this as I could have been disgruntled. I really wasn’t. The month prior I was given a bonus for my “exemplary performance”. I was dismissed without pay because Teresa is spiteful and petty. Pass on any interview offered for this job unless you enjoy working for an inefficient, unethical, and poorly managed company.

This individual worked for us less than 6 months. She had a long commute, which we repeatedly expressed concerns about. We were honest in the interviewing process that our business model was not designed for a remote workforce. She assured us the commute was not a problem. It quickly became a problem. After just a few short months, the commute became too much and the employee requested to work from home. The request was denied. The individual resigned, she was not dismissed. The personal insults are unnecessary and unprofessional.

Pros

Let me think....... Nothing

Cons

This has got to be the absolute worse company I've ever worked for. They make up their own rules as they go. They will force you to use your PTO even if you don't want to and then they do not pay your ACCRUED/EARNED PTO when you leave the company. I never typically write reviews about companies, but I feel like people should be warned about this one and stay far away.

Horrible Work Environment and Management

Pros

No pros here other than "having a job"

Cons

Do yourself a favor and pass on any interviews or job offers they may give you. They foster an environment of unprofessionalism. There is no family environment there, other than the fact that they employ their own children. The CEO appears to have zero management experience, she only has that title due to being married to the owner. Severely understaffed and owners are greedly signing up too many new clients and no staff to support the workload, so you'll be expected at minimum to put in 5-10 hours of unpaid overtime a week with an already below industry salary. So called department managers have little to no prior experience and it shows. They openly berate you at your desk about mistakes so the whole office can hear, even on your first week. You also cannot be late (if you're on time, that's considered late), use your cell phone or eat at your desk. They treat you like children and not a working professional adult with experience. They have a high turnover rate, they have lost on average 9-10 employees in the past few months. You will be let go the day you give notice, even though they expect a 2 week notice. Horrible benefits include highly expensive insurance, PTO accrual system for time off, no remote off-site work so they can micromanage you in the office all day. They can praise you one week and fire you the next with no reason. Very unstable work environment, everyone here is miserable.

We've actually fired very few employees, though we do have a 90-day introductory period to assess if the individual and job are a good fit for both sides. Our salaries are at or above average. The rising costs of healthcare is difficult to manage for any employer. As a small company, we provide a full benefits package to our employees and work with our benefits team to find the best rates and coverage available. We'll continue to offer a competitive benefits package. It's correct that we ask employees not to eat at their desks, to arrive to work at their normally scheduled time and we discourage cell phone use during the work day. We don't think these are unreasonable requests. I am aware of the manager being referred to and I find these comments disappointing. This manager has been with the company for several years. He's a solid manager with deep knowledge and experience. I am not aware of any instances when this individual berated anyone in an unprofessional manner, or in a public setting. If this did occur, it was not brought to our attention. Had it been we would have immediately looked into the concerns.
