RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Rakuten full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Definitely one of the best reason to work in Rakuten Asia is the people that you interact with everyday. If you are a fresh graduate, most of the seniors are very open in teaching you and you will be able to learn a lot as long as you stay proactive in your learning. Participate in the company events and I am sure you will be able to make a lot of friends. Some teams also have better engineering practices and you will be exposed and be able to try out or even suggest new ways of approaching things; contrary to some of the glassdoor reviews here The different sister companies in the office also creates a more vibrant atmosphere. I honestly believe the success you can have in Rakuten Singapore depends on how proactive you are in the team
Cons
Unfortunately, a lot of times, the amount of overall enjoyment/learning in the company depends a lot on the team that you are assigned to. Some teams are given more rooms to try out new technologies while others are basically managing legacy systems. Some large scale meetings which can be a bit dry sometimes
