Pros

- Healthcare is comprehensive and affordable. - Fast paced environment. - CEO seems like a workhorse that cares about the success of his company, not just his profit. - Company has clear goals that, if achieved, could make it a global success. - Standard PTO that increases with tenure.

Cons

- Internal infrastructure is confusing and discombobulated. - Company is working toward streamlining applications and procedures, but they have acquired more companies than their existing infrastructure can handle integrating, leaving multiple departments without clear direction, opportunities for advancement, or benefits associated with being hired under the Shift4 banner. - Pay. Merit raises or bonuses are never guaranteed. Expectation is to work hard, quickly, and produce high-volume and quality results....and maybe you will get payed for it.

Pros

Fast growing company, large teams and plenty to work on, in a good way. The work is fun and interesting, Shift4 tends to buy into latest technologies and as someone on the tech team you are sure to find your niche. The leadership and even up to the C level do a wonderful job of taking feedback and growing from it. Great starting salary and benefits

Cons

Shaky HR pipeline often lead to poor communication to all employees for company directives. Forced offshore teams (not LT, love them) often not held accountable and hard to work with. Not proactive with retaining competent staff through promised expectations (raises, bonuses, trainings, etc)

Pros

Company has great benefits yearly bonus for Christmas as well a promised of a grant if work with the company for 5 year.

Cons

Typical corporate ladder where there is a lot of preference. very little room of growth within a department is better applying to a different department if you are looking for raises or better position. Unexpected firing. Fired almost a whole team for ''growth purpose''

Pros

- Salary. Most of people are nice to work with. - Yearly bonus. - Good onboarding (if you get a good person) - Parking

Cons

- You can be fired any time with no reason. To manage budget company is firing huge part of employees with very short notice. They are booking 1-1 meeting on which HR joins you and your manager and you are told that you are fired. BUT with good payout (not making situation better). - They have 25EUR per person budget for team building, but they are happening 1th a year, or it just random bar gathering after work. - Micro-management is a thing here. - People are treated as a resource, not like individuals. - Devs showing initiative will only be appreciated by “Thanks” and still got fired. - QAs are treated like a regression machines. Non-stop regressions, no communication from business, just test a ticket and document every small thing. - If you will not ask to set your yearly goals - don’t wait for promotion. - Free lunch at office 2 times per week - lunch is so bad most of the times so it’s better to go out to eat somewhere. - While telling that hybrid and remote work is okay during interview, you are getting pushed to come to office. - Teams don’t know what other teams are doing. - Your performance is measured by activity logs. Not by results. Overall, very average place to work, with yearly firings. But you can get to know very good people and have new friends.

Pros

I met some lovely people during my time here. My supervisor and manager did everything they could to keep me on board despite my metrics not being within an acceptable window. Early on, during times of increased call volume, overtime was offered at a rate of x2 or even x3. Sometimes food was provided, as well. 4-10 shifts offered, which are quite nice and save gas if you happen to live far away. Generally you won't be fired because a single customer threatened your job. They work with charities a lot and will give you time off to pursue charitable work.

Cons

This place runs at a fever pitch and if you can't keep up, you're out. Everything is timed. You get 30min max of "personal time" to be used for bathroom breaks, whether your shift is 8hr or 10hr. Apparently you can get a bonus for having under 10min of personal time a day. No way to really negotiate higher pay as operations staff, everything is done via an algorithm. You can lose your christmas bonus and yearly (meagre) raise if you are flagged as "needs improvement". There are precious few other opportunities for pay raises. Raises do not meet cost of living increases. Everyone under c-suite is trying their best, but they are slaves to procedure. They often say operations-level reps can take whatever issue they are working all the way up the chain to the Big J himself, and this is true in theory. In practice, very few people feel they are actually empowered to do so. Everything is changing all the time. From the extensions you need to use to properly transfer someone who needs to reach another department, to the names of said departments, where to find all this information, etc. The procedure for calling out / taking vacation days or taking a break changed multiple times in one quarter. They drank the crypto kool-aid soon after announcing that every employee would be given a life-changing amount of money... in company stock... in 5 years. (1/3 in 3 years, then an additional 1/3 the next two years) they bought a dip in their stock, then tried to spin it as "investing in their people in this trying time". Call me a cynic, but I believe they were just trying to boost their share price and prevent employees from seeking better opportunities.
