The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Herndon, VA) in Apr 2009
Interview
Booz takes a very long time to get you in the door for an interview. There was four individual interviews. All very laid back. Every one I met was very nice and the focus of the interviews was on the personality. They want to make sure that you will fit in with the organization and that you can plice nice. They don't want people that are very aggressive about the career. They want people that will work hard but aren't concerned with rapid progression through their career.

Question 1
Why did I want to go from working in the private sector to the public sector and what did I expect would be the differences in what drives the clients.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Rockville, MD) in May 2009
Interview
I first spoke to an outside recruiter over the phone who asked me questions about my background, resume and future goals. One week later, I had an over the phone interview with an inside recruiter who asked the same questions - inquired about my background, resume and future goals. A few weeks later, I came in the office for in person interviews. I was there for 2 hours and first met with the in-house recruiter and then 3 employees who I would be workiing with, all with different backgrounds. Everyone wanted to know about my past experiences and what I wanted to do at Booz Allen. it was a very positive experience with very friendly and professional people. The environment at Booz Allen is very team oriented so they are looking for individuals who work well with others and do well in a fast-paced environment. It seems like a great place to grow professionaly and the company itself appears to be solid and strong. And, the benefits are out of this world.
