I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (McLean, VA) in Jun 2009
Interview
Had a phone interview with a HR rep after referred by employee. A hiring manager expressed interest in me. Somehow, I was then passed off to some HR screener. Interview felt more like an inquisition in terms of the questions I was being asked. I felt like I was being screened out based on certain criteria. Then the infamous behavioral based questions, which anyone can make up stories. Interview ended with "With what other firms are your interviewing?" Feedback had to be requested a week later. Response was "No matches at this time....please get back to us within a month." I asked to the effect, what exactly does that mean? Never got a response.

Interview
One interview with 3 people. Just resume focused. I applied for a Mid Level role, so they asked me about some of the school senior projects as well, why do i want to work here, all that good stuff
The process is competitive and has many steps to it. They really care about how you would fit within the team along with your skills and experience. You do end up meeting quite a few people as you move through the process.
