I was first interviewed by a manager, who met me at the Deloitte offices and took me to a coffee shop for the half-hour interview. I hadn't brushed up enough on economics so I was rusty on the technical questions (there were normal competency questions and a discussion on econometrics). I was given a second round on the basis that, while I needed to be better on the technical side, the interviewer liked me.
I next met with another manager, for an hour-long meeting with a few case studies (Royal Mail Privatisation, Cigarrette taxes) which I felt had gone quite well. Was rejected at this stage, advised to return in a year with more experience.
