I applied online. I interviewed at Grab (Petaling Jaya) in Apr 2026
Interview
A Snail Paced Hiring Matrix, Lacking Professional Candidate Management!
The technical loop consisted of coding assessments, system design discussions with the engineering team, and the broader discussion with the hiring manager are well structured. However, the Talent Acquisition process entirely overshadowed the experience.
The process dragged on for more than 60 days. After completing the final interview rounds, the recruiter stopped responding. Despite polite follow-ups over several weeks to request an update, I was met with absolute silence. The two-month process was eventually concluded by a generic, automated "no-reply" rejection email. Sending a boilerplate email with zero feedback after a candidate clears multiple technical stages, goes through final round and invests two months into the pipeline lacks basic respect for their time and effort. While headcount shifts and rejections are a normal part of hiring, completely ghosting a candidate post-final round is highly unprofessional.
