Application
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at IBM (United States Coast Guard - Air Station Sacramento) in Nov 2024
Interview
The interviewer was very serious. They started with a self-introduction and then gradually delved into my past work experience. The questions asked were very precise, and the interviewer was highly skilled.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you think user needs and leadership requirements can be balanced?
Got a link to a platform where you were asked to answer a series of questions. The answers had to be recorded, every answer was supposed to be answered in less than 3 minutes. Beforehand, the advice was given to prepare using the STAR framework.
Important: once started, you can only interrupt the process once, since they don't want you to have unlimited preparation time for the answers. If it gets interrupted (e.g. due to network connectivity or by closing the tab) a second time, the process is stopped and your interview is basically aborted.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Tell us about a time you disagreed with a coworker and how you resolved the disagreement.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IBM (Munich, Bavaria) in Apr 2026
Interview
Got sent an invite to interview a couple days after I applied online. They move through the process quite quickly and they'll send you emails for additional forms to fill out if you move through the process.
