      Inernational Tax Director Interview

      14 Oct 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Jose, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PwC (San Jose, CA) in Jul 2010

      Interview

I met with 3 individuals, HR Director, International Tax Partner and M&A Tax Partner. The interviews were in general "tell me what you have done since graduating law school in 1998" and "why are you a good fit for PwC". Specifically, I was asked my experience providing consulting to Fortune 500 companies and my ability ot manage large scale projects. My impression was that I was one of a number of candidiates and given the poor economy in SF Bay Area they were in no hurry to hire anyone. In fact, it felt that the M&A partner was doing my a favor interviewing me as he kept looking at his watch, disinterested in what I was saying.
