I was interviewed for three rounds for Lead Data Scientist role (Jan 2020).
- All of them were one -on-one interviews spread over 4 weeks.
- Except one of the interviewer, all of them seemed to ask the same questions (work, projects).
- Two of them did not know what position I was being hired for except for the fact that it was a data science position.
Experience: With interviews spread over 4 weeks, it was a frustrating experience. After the end of the third interview, I did not get any feedback for a week. Then I saw fresh job posting on linkedin for the same position, grew suspicious, called to recruiter to get no response. Later in the day, I got a response that I am not being considered. This did not include any reason.
IMHO, their interview process is broken. Its better for them and a candidate to finish all rounds in a day and then communicate the decision within a week. If they do not respect candidate's time and cannot plan their interviews properly, it speaks a lot about the company culture.
