I applied online. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
Salesforce's application process was conducted through their recruiting website Futureforce. I submitted applications to three positions after attending a networking session at my university and was contacted the next day to schedule interviews for the Finance & Strategy position. The next week I had three Google Hangouts with members in various positions in the department. These interviews, as well as my interactions with recruiters at the networking event, are what sold me on the firm. Each of the interviewers was thoughtful, down to earth, and had a vision about what they were looking for in a future intern.
A week after interviewing, I had not heard from the firm, so I followed up to ask about the rest of the process. In their reply, they extended me my offer. I was not contacted about the other two positions and didn't ask because this was my top choice position. The long and the short of my description is that their recruiting process is not the most fluid, but diligence in follow up might help you move through the process more quickly.
Super simple, remote interviews which were all behavioral. More than willing to flex for my schedule and combination was constant between me and the recruiting team. They were very fun conversations and I could tell that every interviewer wanted to be there!
