I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Burlington, MA) in Mar 2017
Interview
Process was fluid, efficient, and well managed. I was able to speak with all of the important stakeholders in a short period of time which fleshed out the depth of the role and opportunity ahead.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I think the most compelling question centered around how my personal life and experiences help to frame my professional relationships and partnerships that I want to build. How those interests outside of the office also help to shape me professionally.
The interview process was really positive overall. It moved quite quickly, but it still felt detailed and well-structured. Each conversation gave me a clearer sense of the role, the team, and what Salesforce was looking for in an FP&A Manager. The interviewers were professional, prepared, and asked thoughtful questions about my experience, business partnering style, financial planning background, and how I approach ambiguity. It felt like a good mix of technical FP&A discussion and broader questions around stakeholder management, communication, and fit with the team.
