This is for Salesforce Dublin, Ireland. It was a disappointing experience overall, the process is a bit opaque, and even the hr doesn't seem to have all the details, it seems only the hiring manager drives the process, the hr contacted me and went ahead for scheduling, i had a few offers at the time & shared the same with the the hr & that i have couple of weeks to accept, the hr got back after discussing with the hiring manager and promised, they'd give a final decision at the end of two weeks, Thursday was the day they promised they'd give a yes or no. The interviews went well, the panel was professional & nice. After the first couple of interviews, they scheduled another couple of interviews & only quirk was that i was not told what would be the format of interviews, even the hr team did not know the format, hr were also not informed, after starting with the 3rd interview, 5 mins into the interview, i was told it would be a coding interview, it was a bit unpleasant, but the coding round went well, the fourth interview went well, and the panel was quite happy with me(yes they said i'd be a good fit for the team)...all 4 interviews done, i waited for a day and then reached out to the hr, they had no feedback, as my deadline was approaching, i again reached out, but the hr were themselves not informed by the hiring manager, after a couple of days, when the deadline approached(they had promised they would give me a decision i.e yes or no) the hr reached out & told me the interview feedback overall is positive but they'd like to interview couple of more candidates & will need one more week, that was a bit disappointing, as it was not the hr team's call, but came directly from the hiring manager, that was unprofessional, i was disappointed by such behavior from hiring manager at salesforce, the hiring manager should not have promised then in that case, another weird part throught he whole process was, the hiring manager/engineering manager, never talked to me, never had any sort of direct/indirect communication, this is weird, because all the interviews i'ver given twitter etc, hiring managers always have had atleast one round of interviews, this also seeded the doubt in my mind that maybe i was just interviewed, just for the sake of documentation, that they have interviewed several candidates, and maybe the hiring manager had already identified someone else, i was just a setup, a number maybe, the hr team was really good and prompt in communication, overall a disappointing experience, i did not expect such behavior, i guess Salesforce really is not at Faang level, i've given faang interviews and they're really well organized and hiring managers are transparent & lead from front. I think the hiring manager at Salesforce was pretty arrogant in my case, that's left a really bad impression, i won't apply or recommend colleagues to apply there, they're quite unprofessional & you can't take their commitments or promises at face value.
