The interview process was a 4 step process. It started with screening with the recruiter. After the recruiter it moved to a call with the hiring manager. I then moved to a call with team/colleagues and then a panel interview.

      Interview

The interview process for a managerial role involves multiple stages: initial screening to assess qualifications, skills, and experience, followed by behavioral and situational questions to gauge leadership abilities, problem-solving, and decision-making. Finalists may participate in panel interviews and meet with higher-level executives to ensure a good fit within the organization.

      Interview

It went quite normal. The interviewer asked some behavioural questions and a couple of clarification questions about my resume. Overall no tricky questions. It probably had something to do with seniority. At VP level they could have many ways to evaluate one's candidacy including but not limited to reference checks.
