Question 1
How do you communicate with non technical stakeholders?
It was long and arduous and all I received was an automated email saying they went forward with others. It started with a call with the recruiter, then a portfolio review in front of 5 team leads. Then I received an email saying one of the teams wanted to move forward with the process, so I had 5 back to back interviews. Then, after weeks of hearing nothing, the recruiter entirely ghosting me, I get an email with a meeting invite for another round of interviews. I tried to reach out to ask about what was going on since I still had heard nothing and another round of 6 interviews wasn't in the described process, but again nothing from the recruiter. I prepped for the round of interviews, even though I was unsure if it was even actually happening or if it was a mistake. I completed the round and then 3 weeks go by and I received an automated email. It was grueling. I enjoyed a lot of the conversations, but it was horrible communication in between and felt zero appreciation for the ridiculous amount of effort I put in to this interview loop.
I had a recruiter call first who shared multiple openings with me and we chose the ones I might be a good fit with. And then had a portfolio presentation with the HMs from those teams.
