I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Newtown Sq, PA) in Feb 2013
Interview
It was easy to get an interview and easy to get hired. You only had to submit your CV and within a couple of days, an HR rep was calling to conduct an initial phone interview. If you passed that screening, you were invited to the headquarters office for a more formal interview. Although it wasn't really a typical formal interview. You had to complete a typing test and a brief clinical knowledge assessment. After those two assessments, you met with a couple of their in-house physician advisors who would answer questions about the job itself but there was little "tell me about your strengths/weaknesses/accomplishments" etc. that is typical of interviews. If you had made it to the "formal" interview in Newtown Square, and had passed the assessments, you were pretty well guaranteed to get the job.
