Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Manager is a critical member of the Singapore Branch Managers’ team, responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key clients. This role focuses on understanding client needs, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This focused professional will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet client expectations and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
This position is part of ST Singapore Branch Leadership team. It is based in Singapore. It reports directly into Singapore Branch Manager, who is also based in Singapore. This professional will work with multiple Key Account Professionals based in international markets in US / Europe as and when required. Broad job scope, not limited to below
Responsibilities:
Client relationship management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with ST SG’s Key Clients
- Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Proactively engage with clients to identify opportunities for growth and address any concerns in supply chain / planning or distribution operations
- Make regular visits to their sites as required and co-ordinate multiple program initiatives like Bulk/ PACE and B2B
- Mitigation of issues involving alternate parts and its qualification and quality
Team management and building:
- Lead and develop the inside sales team, setting individual targets and supporting members through regular one-on-ones and documented reviews.
- Coach the team and build consistent capability across the team.
- Own the people cycle: hire to a structured ramp, cross-train for coverage, and support team members to meet performance expectations.
- Drive motivation and retention, fostering a collaborative environment.
Revenue/ EBIDTA management:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve agreed sales targets and revenue goals including EBITDA and Margin %.
- Identify new business opportunities within the Key Account plans and collaborate with the SGST sales team to expand the customer revenue base and retention mechanisms.
- Work with Asia Sales Manager and Ops Excellence & Program Manager to understand the broad requirements of the Clients and their future operations / manufacturing plans and bring this knowledge back into STSG systems!
- Identify potential risks in supply / demand and develop mitigation strategies in consultation with Asia leadership team as well Client Leadership team as required
- Keeping AR amount below $150K
- Achieving 30% and abv revenue margin for overall sales
Data analysis and adjustments:
- Use data analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions regarding process improvements and program adjustments.
- Keep a close watch on Accounts Receivables or/and Credit Note exigencies in line with Revenue forecasting and actual realization into $
Stakeholder management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with senior stakeholders with the clients to ensure smooth transitions of new programs / new initiatives and any new hardware software requirements to ST SG property at client premises
- Ensure that Clients requirements are addressed in a manner which does not raise any customer satisfaction issues
Operational Excellence:
- Ensuring that operations related to the customer are efficient and effective
- Includes overseeing the delivery of stocks and services, managing timelines, expectations and service standards are met
- Setting an expectations of reply to customers within 24 hours for any enquiries
Business / Strategic planning:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to meet customer’s long-term requirements
- Collaborate with different functional teams within the organization to deliver on these plans
Feedback and improvement:
- Regularly collecting and analysing customer feedback to identify areas of improvement.
- Implement changes based on feedback on areas that requires to enhance customer experience.
Requirements:
Broad qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field
- On the job experience in supply chain or business operations of about 8-9 years in a fast-paced organization
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar sales role.
- Strong understanding of the industry and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
KPI ownership – Key Performance Improvements
- Achieve Asia goals (top line / bottom line, EBITA % and Cost % of Sales)
- AR – keeping the amount below US$150K
- CSAT - Measuring client satisfaction through surveys or feedback mechanisms
- Client Revenue growth Rate in either % or $ year over year
- SLOB and Sellable Inventory on hand with their aging matrix
- Forecast accuracy as provided by the Client and processed in ST Systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and methodologies such as Lean, Project management MS office, Power BI, any basic SAP, and CRM System
