Job Description
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant with proven S/4HANA implementation expertise to support maintenance transformation initiatives and ongoing system operations. The ideal candidate will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of end‑to‑end PM processes—ensuring operational reliability, optimized asset management, and alignment with business requirements.
This role requires deep functional knowledge of SAP PM, excellent consulting skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders in dynamic project environments
What will you do?
- Maintain, support, and enhance the existing SAP PM solution, ensuring system stability and continuous alignment with business operations.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, configuration documents, and detailed solution designs.
- Configure SAP PM modules and submodules, including:
- Preventive Maintenance
- Corrective Maintenance
- Maintenance Planning
- Work Order Management
- Equipment & Functional Location Master Data
- Measurement Points & Counters
- Lead and execute project lifecycle tasks including requirement workshops, fit/gap analysis, design, configuration, testing, and cutover for PM-related processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (MM, PP, QM, FICO, EHS, etc.) to ensure integrated end-to-end asset maintenance and reliability processes.
- Lead test planning, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
- Prepare and deliver system demonstrations, user training, process documentation, and go‑live/post‑go‑live support.
- Recommend process improvements and solutions leveraging S/4HANA innovations and SAP best practices.
- Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to support business outcomes
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on SAP PM experience in implementation and support roles.
- At least 3 full lifecycle implementation projects, with mandatory experience in S/4HANA.
- Strong understanding of core SAP PM functionalities, including:
- Technical Objects (Equipment, Functional Locations)
- Notifications & Work Orders
- Task Lists & Maintenance Plans
- Breakdown / Corrective / Preventive Maintenance
- Maintenance BOM Management
- Refurbishment and Work Clearance Management (WCM is a plus)
- Experience with S/4HANA PM innovations such as:
- Fiori apps for maintenance
- Maintenance cockpit
- Enhanced maintenance planning
- Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance processes across manufacturing, utilities, transportation, or engineering industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to deliver change requests and project tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary project environments.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to proactively resolve issues and drive high-quality outcomes.
- Ability to document functional requirements, develop functional specifications (RICEFW), perform configuration, and support testing cycles.
- Proficient in conducting system demos, user training, and knowledge transfer.
- Knowledge of ABAP debugging or ability to collaborate closely with technical developers is a plus.
