Pros

- Retirement village that allows people without substance to coast for years - Finally offered free snacks (2 packs/day) after moving to different offices - Office spaces are relatively new and decent

Cons

- Office network is forever down despite being the #1 telco in Asia - Processes are tedious and creates unproductive work. Things barely move, if you can even get a project to kickoff it would be a win - Management is made up of traditional conservatives with little regard for improving ways of working - Get ready for 5 days of returning to the office, without enough seats/tables. Management has only accounted for 60% capacity in the new offices and when concerns were raised, we were asked to work in pantries/work booths - Optics is extremely important here - performative work is welcomed as long as you're at your desk - Extremely stingy culture where everything is done on the cheap - High attrition rate - MAP is very poorly structured. MAs are extra headcount tasked to take on roles created out of thin air (sometimes PA/intern-level work), not full-time openings

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience in Singtel hasn't met your expectations. We value your feedback and encourage you to discuss your concerns directly with your manager and People & Culture partner. People development is a top priority at Singtel and we invest significantly in a variety of development opportunities catering to all segments of employees. These include role-based career paths, training programmes, the Management Associate (MA) Programme, SHINE Cadet, Work-Study Programme (Catalyst). Our MA programme, for example, aims to develop our next generation of leaders by providing meaningful roles and diverse experiences that accelerate their career growth. Many of our MAs have successfully progressed to senior positions, which demonstrates the programme's effectiveness. We encourage you to take full advantage of the resources offered, particularly the Individual Development Plan, to optimise your professional growth and development. While we have transitioned back to the office, we also offer a comprehensive Flexible Work Arrangements Policy to cater for different needs. You may work from home up to one day per week to attend to personal matters or focused tasks, with manager approval. We believe a balance is essential, as in-person collaboration fosters teamwork, innovation, and a strong sense of community, which are crucial for our company culture and employee well-being. With the exciting redevelopment of Comcentre underway, we have invested in new office spaces to ensure comfort and productivity. With recent renovations at our major offices at Serangoon North, Singapore Post Centre, and City South, we have ensured that ample seating, creative meeting pods, silent pods, a reliable network, on-site IT helpdesks, and on-site medical centre are readily available. In addition, our employees can enjoy generous perks such as gym access, comprehensive medical and well-being benefits, fully-paid corporate mobile handsets and lines – just to name a few. These newly renovated offices may not be perfect, but many employees have commented positively about the amenities and the interactive nature of the open space designs. We have also invited employees to provide feedback and make suggestions to make the offices better. We will continue to make the necessary enhancements.
