Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We have been working hard to re-align priorities throughout this COVID experience and as business begins to bounce back, we remain committed to our employees, our clients, our business and industry. Departments have been operating under social distancing guidelines and separations for quite some time, but as we navigate returning to working together we will continue to focus on effective inter-department communications. You are correct in highlighting the importance of communications across the various departments and we are confident we are moving in a direction of cohesive operations and communications across the company. Please feel free to email me at HR@metacoastal.com if you have any additional feedback you would like to provide. Thank you.

Pros

The travel perks are OK.

Cons

All the common themes you may have observed in other Glassdoor reviews - it’s all true. A toxic environment stemming from poor leadership, a revolving door at all levels, poor communication, constant changes in direction and inconsistency in how policies are applied. There's continuous pressure to reduce budget, take on additional responsibilities, and work extra hours. Significant changes to the company culture are needed, and it starts with the top. The owner is nice, but is always a presentation’s length away. His leadership team (who again, is constantly changing) keeps him insulated and unaware of the real situation on the ground. Infighting at the leadership level results in employees pitted against each other, and veterans who’ve survived know to follow the buddy system (this is particularly the case with Travel Advantage Network (TAN) leadership). The combination of these factors lead to poor business decisions and botched execution. Advice to job seekers: Stay absolutely clear.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We are in agreement that strategic change was/ is critically important for the continued success of our 28-year-old business as we are in unprecedented times and evolution is required for survival. Throughout 2020, we have been intently focused on aligning goals, business practices and relationships. Our employees are vital to this process, as cultivating a culture of connection and innovation is required for effective change management. Our pandemic-reduced teams have pulled together during these difficult times, frequently doing more than expected to help each other, as well as serving our clients and guests. Our teams are putting their heart into what they do each and every day and the efforts are impressive, noticed and appreciated by leadership. If we work together, we will come out a stronger business and team on the other side of this global crisis. Our Owner/CEO as well as myself are open to hearing about your specific experience if you could kindly reach out to one of us. Feel free to email me at HR@metacoastal.com.
