Tender Planning/Technical Manager

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Department.

Prepare and brief the tender technical start-up, requirements, execution plan and to define key targets in terms of time, cost, quality, resources, EHS and contractual.

Prepare and submit tender technical write up, documents and slides in compliances with all terms, condition and requirements

Prepare and present to Client's rep and Consultants for pre and post tender.

Lead a team of technical staff in planning operations to achieve all key targets

Coordinate Strategies, produce Value Engineering, Alternatives, Cost Engineering, technical proposals and submission requirements.

Plan and prepare realistic Work programme, define key project milestones, critical path and set full-planning targets for project execution effectively.

Resolve drawing and specification discrepancies.

Interpret contractual implications and requirements.

Manage and liase client’s representatives and consultants for works requirements and on technical matters, including structural, architectural and M&E requirements.

Organize and chair meetings with stake holders.

Collaboration with other departments to achieve a common objective.

Requirements

Degree in Building/ Civil Engineering/ Construction Management or related.

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in site planning, coordination work and tender for building/civil projects.

Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project design and planning parameters and authorities’ requirements; Competency in cross-disciplinary coordination and proficiency in scheduling works.

Adept at directing and coordinating members of the team by delegating tasks, resolving conflicts, setting project milestones, evaluating progress and promoting overall teamwork.

Capable of quick, logical thinking and able to react decisively to issues; adopt a proactive mindset when facing and solving issues; Meticulous in planning and attentive to details.

A proponent of lean principles, actively seeking to maximize value and minimize waste in processes and resource management; Believer of empirical data and measurement as the basis of decision-making to improve efficiency and productivity.

Applicants with prior relevant experience in residential/ commercial/ industrial/ healthcare/ institutional projects and with creative and innovative mindset will be preferred.
