Anonymous Interview Candidate in Dublin, Dublin
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Dublin, Dublin) in Sept 2021
Horrible experience!! Office NLX team Referred by an employee, 1. Recruiter called to do initial screening and proceeded to next round 2. This was with hiring manager, it went well and moved to next round. 3. Three back to back 45 mins interviews. Two of them DS, algo last one behavioral. Tech rounds were 50/50. I didn't heard anything back for about three weeks. Then recruitment coordinator reached out to me to set 4th interview. That was with the same manager in the first interview. I waited about 30 mins online and no one joined the meeting . I tried reaching out to the recruitment team, recruiter and the manager. Now one week later, still no replays. They talk all big about the work culture, and these are the types of people you will be working, then it is not worth it.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Vancouver, BC
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Microsoft (Vancouver, BC) in Jun 2021
This, according to me, was the best interview I'd ever given, yet the outcome was not what I was expecting! Applied via their website. Heard back from the Hiring Manager within two weeks. They set up an initial phone screen with another Engineer. Had to follow up constantly for over a month to finally get invited for 4 rounds of virtual onsite. Round #1 - Technical React Interview (task based) (with Senior Engineer) Round #2 - Purely behavioural (with Director of Engineering) Round #3 - System Design and Behavioural (with Principal Engineering Manager) Round #4 - Technical React (task based - continuation of #1) (with Lead Engineer) Heard back within 1 day from the recruiter. Standard 'sorry, not hired' without any feedback, even on request of the same.

A recruiter from Harvey Nash, 1 of the non-affiliated ones who work on commission for Microsoft, asked if she could submit me to request 106353-1 a 2mo remote contract role to write their Cambridge-based Fairlearn project's web frontend. The job description was extremely vague. After a month of no updates, I got an answer that they cancelled the role.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Prague
I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Prague) in Sept 2019
Remote interviews were tough, because it was hard to hear what interviewers were asking, even though the team developed communication apps like Skype and Teams. On-site interviews were interesting and friendly. But the suggested salary was so little, that I had to decline the offer. Anyway Prague was fascinating and worth visiting.

Pretty much any other interview, call at the early morning. Make wait for hours and hours. Finally some developer comes. I was interviewed at Microsoft IDC,I was asked 2 questions. Both where easy. I believe I'm good enough in what I know. I answered with all confidence. But always failed impress the interviewer. He expects answers what he wants/thinks in his mind. I can't think the same way has him. I was given 1 hr to finish. And 3 times I was poked in between my coding time he interrupted asking me to explain the progress. Which I did. I've no idea why was I rejected.
