Pros

The work environment here is not just a workplace; it's a thriving community where collaboration and innovation go hand in hand. The company's commitment to employee growth is evident in the continuous learning opportunities provided and the supportive atmosphere fostered by the management. Everyone has been supportive, open to growth and treating everyone the same, from colleague to management level. Upper management takes the time to hear out everyone, regardless of their role. The leadership's accessibility and genuine interest in the team creates a sense of inclusivity that makes every voice feel valued.

Cons

Could not think of any.

Best environment to work

Pros

1. Excellent management at Dhaka office 2. Flexible work hour and leave policy 3. Unlimited and awesome food & transport facilities 4. Napping area, gaming areas are awesome 5. The company culture and moral values

Cons

Job insecurity is the only con here. Recently two of my colleagues get sacked. The layoff is happening a lot in Bangladesh and also in other countries and without proper transparency and information, it’s frightening and alarming. We just get a prior call and there we get a list of people terminated and no one cares to tell the exact reasoning.

We understand that organizational changes can deeply affect our team members, and we do not take these decisions lightly. Sometimes, due to shifts in strategy, evolving skill requirements, or financial adjustments, certain roles may no longer be needed. These moments are never easy, but we approach them with great care, empathy, and respect for those impacted. It's important to note that less than 2% of our workforce was affected, and we remain committed to supporting them through this transition.

Pros

Fast-paced growth, mostly great products and c-suite, especially inspiring CEO. Processes and systems getting better. Friendly and collaborative colleagues.

Cons

Heavy admin with constant big transformation projects that are rolled out without proper testing. Work-life balance is worsening year over year and micromanagement increases. Several redundancy rounds don’t help. Keep aquiring company’s and all CSM need to support all products, which is not sustainable.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you appreciate the company’s growth, the strength of our products, the leadership team, and the supportive colleagues around you. These are areas we continuously strive to uphold. We also recognize the concerns you raised around workload, administrative demands, and the pace of transformation. Your input on testing new processes more thoroughly and enabling more focused product areas for CSMs is valuable. These are topics we are actively reviewing to ensure teams are supported, set up for success, and able to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Thank you for your continued commitment to Optimizely and for helping us improve.

Pros

The Executive team is truly making steering us in a positive direction. They're approachable if and when you need help. There's growth opportunities as the company continues to scale and the Product team is rolling out exciting new features our customers share positive feedback on. Had the opportunity to build stronger relationships with our GTM teams at our 2024 Bootcamp in Spain and the CSM breakout sessions were really impactful. I feel supported from leadership and pushed/encouraged when there are areas I can continue to improve on. There are great benefits and good opportunities to step into projects or ERGs and make an impact on the company. I also love that we have Give Back Days to volunteer in the community and a CEO that shows his fun side by jumping into the Polar Plunge Ice with us for a great cause.

Cons

I wish GTM or CS had an annual meetup or at one direct team meetup. We have top talent that we work with for many days of our lives and it would be nice to get together at least once a year where we do some team training/work sessions and team bonding activities. I also wish our 401K was a little bit more.

Pros

You get what you give! I came into this job with virtually no sales experience (had worked somewhat related jobs like customer support/retail etc) and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to make great money. It's no exaggeration to say my life changed overnight. I've only worked here 1 year and have already been promoted 3 times (twice within the SDR role, and now officially promoted out of seat to AE). Several of my peers have been promoted, a couple even cross-functionally. I know this is an area that hasn't always been stellar, but leadership is showing an active effort to promote internally this year - in just this month alone 4 of us SDRs were promoted out of seat. Some people who've left the company and complained have turned down opportunities to grow or take on more responsibility because they were "lame" or not good enough - when in reality showing a growth mindset and doing those tasks is exactly what grabs leadership's attention and takes you to the big leagues everyone claims they're trying to get to. I think that there is plenty of opportunity if you seek it and try to pave your path. I was also fortunate to have a very chill manager who supported me the exact amount I needed. Very grateful for my time as an SDR here. - Great earning potential (SDRs consistently doubling and some even tripling their base pay)* - Hybrid schedule (3x in office, 2x WFH) - Good benefits available (3 healthcare tiers available in this role at varying costs) - Relaxed vacation/PTO policy (especially if you are hitting your numbers) - Approachable management - Great office culture (SDRs in Austin TX are genuinely friends outside of work) - Open line of communication across Teams channels; colleagues always willing to assist and even mentor you - Ability to go to President's (Achievers) Club - Consistent "spiffs" (opportunities to make extra cash through friendly competition) > boosts morale and desire to achieve - Annual sales kickoff "bootcamp" in Europe - A few fun holiday parties / team events per year - Overall fun company to work for with friendly people in every department

Cons

- *As expected in sales, quotas subject to change when consistently overachieved across the group - Having a more defined career path would boost morale (I still think being proactive and making an effort to reach out and ask for help is key, but some people would prefer to have a laid-out plan or guide of some sort) - Base pay for sales roles here could be better when compared to others in the market

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review—and congratulations on your growth and promotion journey! We’re especially glad to hear that Optimizely provided a space where someone new to sales could ramp quickly, earn competitively, and progress based on effort and mindset. Internal mobility, learning through ownership, and recognizing those who step up are areas we’ve been intentionally investing in, and it’s great to see that reflected in your experience and in the SDR team overall. We also appreciate the candid feedback around career path clarity and base compensation. These are active areas of discussion as we continue refining our SDR framework and ensuring transparency around progression and expectations. Thank you for your contributions, your growth mindset, and for being such a positive part of the culture. We’re excited to see what’s next for you at Optimizely.
