As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale outsourced Street View data collection programs. Manage the entire program lifecycle from strategic planning, scope definition, and budgeting to execution, new country launches, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee the imagery pipeline, from data collection and ingestion to publication. Collaborate with Engineering to troubleshoot technical issues, drive process automation, and support the launch and migration of new operational tools and systems.
• Utilize data analysis to define collection scope, optimize for coverage gaps, and improve data quality. Drive initiatives leveraging AI to enhance operational efficiency, such as in automated quality control and predictive modeling for collection goal.
• Act as a key liaison between cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Legal, Policy, Hardware Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment and navigate technical, regulatory, and policy requirements.
• Communicate program status, risks, and metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
