Pros

Great benefits, pay was good, other employees were good people to work. Got to learn a bunch of new skills.

Cons

Management had been unstable, been through 6 program managers, policy enforcement is random and confusing.

Pros

The mission is that no patient waits for the care that they need. In the process, the company helps healthcare workers have more time to devote to quality patient care. The other employees and managers seem truly committed to the mission and to helping each other.

Cons

IMO, the company is going through a time of budget cutting that ignores the value of the knowledge of long time employees.

Poor management

Pros

1. Teammates are nice and helpful 2. There are talented people here 3. Making money out of meaningful work

Cons

1. Software engineers are underpaid, even compared to other companies in Pittsburgh, at least this is what glassdoor is telling me. 2. Management is terribly poor. People working on same project can be managed by different managers. 3. Many managers don't understand technology, but only know how to talk and command. 4. There is politics here. Employees can be disliked/liked due to other reasons, not only by their ability and performance.

Thank you for your review and expressing your concerns. I strongly encourage you to discuss these concerns with your team's leadership to collaborate on how we can work together more effectively. While we respect your opinion, I would like to provide some facts that differ from some of the points you noted. With respect to compensation, studies show that data that is public (Glassdoor or otherwise) is often inflated or generally inaccurate as it is self-reported. TeleTracking purchases strong external validated benchmark data, and leverages external consultants to confirm our compensation structure. We pay at or above market as compared to other Pittsburgh organizations. With respect to promoting from within, ~20% of our development team has been promoted in the past two years (benchmarks run around 5% for other similar organizations). At times we need to bring talent in from the outside for expertise that we just do not have internally; it takes time for people to develop, especially as new technologies outpace learning time. Additionally, there is not a manager/leader within the team that isn’t technical. We believe that everyone needs continuous improvement - better never stops - and ask everyone to do their part to help each other grow and develop.

A great company lost it's way

Pros

Medical benefits. Tech stack. Most coworkers.

Cons

Just an abysmal commercial enterprise. COVID mixed with the narrow vertical seems to be too much for them to overcome. Major commercial blunders with senior leadership (where is that pipeline??!). They keep aging and non profitable apps. The organization has not figured out how to prioritize or market their multi-tenant SaaS platform. Company loves marketing buzzwords like "boundryless" but it was unclear what that meant for product and technology. Too many poor middle managers. Technical people who are not people managers are promoted and create fiefdoms. Product managers don't always understand the issues with the product. The organization does not value the engineering teams. Lots of blood sweat and tears to improve the health, cost and security of the tech stack with little recognition. Draconian return to office policies will decimate their reputation and talent pool in the local market.

Pros

-Great Health Benefits -You will never be bored

Cons

-Overworking -Management is so incredibly out of touch -Management doesn't know how to manage people and they all need retrained/fired -Lack of upward mobility for women unless you're cute -Lack of awareness from People and Culture on how to properly handle situations (they let a manager come to my exit interview, and let him see my questionnaire) -Micromanagement and lack of trust we were doing our jobs remotely -And so much more, bottom line its not worth it

Pros

Coworkers make this place a GREAT place to work. If there is one thing TeleTracking is good at, it's hiring people with personality and passion. Immediate managers tend to have a great balance between support and letting people do their jobs without hovering. When it comes to the marketing department, I don't have a single con. The immediate team worked fantastic together and they are a group of very talented professionals that do the absolute most for the company. I genuinely enjoyed the work I did and felt I was reasonably compensated for it.

Cons

After so many rounds of layoffs, it's impossible for staff to feel secure. Many important people have left while SLT pushes and pushes and pushes for expansion the company doesn't seem to be able to support. It felt like never-ending expectations to pick up the work of those who have left while senior leadership consistently pivots on what the new focus will be every 6-months.
