Java Developer

Location:

Compensation:
- SGD 10,000 - 15,000 per month

About the Role:
Fastco is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our expanding engineering team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years of hands-on Java development experience and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality products and supporting the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and backend services.
• Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems to support business growth.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver product features.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, debug problems, and improve system performance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Support CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment activities.

Requirements:

• Around 5 years of Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of core Java, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.
• Experience with Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and software development lifecycle best practices.
• Strong problem-solving ability and good communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices architecture.
• Experience with caching, messaging systems, or distributed systems.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced product or platform environment.
