Position Summary
We are looking for a Computer & Instrumentation Engineer to help bridge the gap between hardware and software. The successful candidate will assist in developing and supporting scalable applications that communicate with physical IoT devices, while also supporting instrumentation systems, data acquisition equipment, and monitoring solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work across the entire technology stack, from sensors and field instruments to cloud platforms, databases, and user dashboards.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstrumentation & IoT Integration
- Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation, monitoring systems, sensors, and data loggers.
- Assist in connecting data loggers and sensors to monitoring platforms using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, RS-485, MQTT, TCP/IP, and other telemetry technologies.
- Support the deployment, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of monitoring systems at project sites.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and proper operation of field instrumentation and monitoring equipment.
Full-Stack Development
- Assist in building, maintaining, and enhancing web applications and user dashboards using React, Vue.js, or similar frontend technologies.
- Support backend development using Python, Node.js, or related technologies.
- Participate in the development of scalable applications for real-time monitoring, data visualization, and reporting.
API & Data Management
- Support the design and development of RESTful APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Express.js.
- Manage, process, and validate monitoring data from various instrumentation and IoT sources.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to store, retrieve, and analyze monitoring data.
- Assist in developing automated reporting and alerting systems.
Computer Systems & Networking
- Configure and maintain computers, servers, network devices, and cloud-based monitoring systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and communication issues.
- Support remote monitoring infrastructure and ensure data integrity and security.
Collaboration & Project Support
- Work closely with senior engineers, developers, project managers, and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, refactor code, and improve system performance.
- Assist in equipment selection, technical documentation, and solution implementation.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and client support activities.
- Prepare technical reports, calibration records, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant working experience is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation systems, sensors, data loggers, and monitoring equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, RS-485, MQTT, TCP/IP, or similar technologies.
- Experience or interest in web development using React, Vue.js, Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and technical documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IoT platforms and cloud services.
- Knowledge of SCADA, PLC, telemetry, and data acquisition systems.
- Programming experience in Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar languages.
- Understanding of environmental, geotechnical, structural, or industrial monitoring systems.
- Experience with Linux environments and network configuration.
- AutoCAD and technical drawing interpretation skills.
Pay: $4,500.00 - $5,200.00 per month
