[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in the School of InfoComm Technology.[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop teaching and assessment materials, conduct lessons and facilitate learning for both the PET and CET learners
Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum. This includes regular review of existing curriculum and making recommendations on areas of improvement that would enhance students’ learning, performance, and employability.
Keep abreast of current trends and developments in technologies and emerging trends
Handle administrative work relating to teaching.
Supervise and mentor students in competitions and consultancy projects
Support student learning through consultation and mentorship
Identify and establish new collaboration opportunities with industry partners for curriculum collaboration, CET programme initiatives, and consultancy projects
Work on industry or consultancy projects
Organise and lead overseas study trips, immersion programs, and student exchange initiatives
[What we are looking for]
At least 3 years of relevant working experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, terraform, cloud services and/or deployment.
Committed to stay updated with industry advancements and integrating new technologies into teaching.
Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring both youths and adult learners.
Ability to design engaging curriculum, developing materials and delivering classes.
Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team.
Possess wit, innovation, initiative and strong communication skills.
Relevant professional certifications will have added advantage, e.g. Kubernetes Application Developer, OpenShift Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate.
